About

Thank you for visiting my website. You'll find examples of recent work, including landscapes and still life. I am a painter based in Killearn, north of Glasgow and just outside the Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park. It is a beautiful area and provides lots of inspiration.

I trained at Liverpool College of Art, studying textile design, and worked as a textile designer and embroiderer before turning to painting.

I am interested in pattern and colour as they appear in the natural environment I love gardening and this is reflected in my flower paintings, I like exotic plants like orchids but also paint more everyday flowers from the garden. My landscape paintings are often of the landscape around Killearn, but I am also inspired by other dramatic or colourful parts of Scotland. Reflecting my background as a textile designer I like the patterns made by trees, fields walls and flowers. Most of my paintings are in oil on board.

I exhibit my work across Scotland and am a member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists.
